Competition of ideas, Barcelona - phase 2
The team consisting of OLM landscape & urban architectures with Atelier Berger Mila, Ingetec and Atelier d'Ecologie Urbaine are among the 5 groups selected for the second phase of the competition of ideas on the future of the road infrastructures "Nods and Crosses". We were picked for the zone 5 regarding the right bank of the Llobregat, with the infrastructures of the A2 and the BV-2002, associated to the highway nod the 4 roads.
The competition is proposed like a process for technical participation linked to the goals of the Metropolitan Urban Director Plan (PDU), aiming to collect strategies rethinking the role of the metropolitan highway infrastructures in adequacy to the territory. It's about taking an interest both in territorial strategies and in illustrating them with an infrastructural nod. The approach consists in imagining the future of the existing monofunctional infrastructures to turn Barcelona outskirts towards the vision of a territory more resilient and inclusive, combining mobility, landscape and new centralities.
