Lot Rondeaux, écoquartier Flaubert, Rouen

The west bank of the Seine finally becomes inhabited on former railway sites. The first two centers offer spaces both of purposes and of high density vegetation. They're pulling the big park of the ZAC Flaubert. Two main spatial principles organise the blocks: a public alley going from the boulevard Jean de Béthencourt to the future public park, and a private alley developping shared spaces for the office workers and the inhabitants. Thanks to a ground architecture thought with the presence of oarking slots underground, the garden gathers and infiltrates all the rainwater. Finally, the block centers are very planted with the minimum of mineral surfaces to offer a calm view.
