Place du Général de Saint-Pol, Nogent-le-Rotrou

The Place du Général de Saint-Pol is a typical city centrality with shops, city hall, farmer market and parking. The project organises the 9 000 m² public space around big stepwells structuring: on the higher level, a place dedicated to parking and events; on the lower level, a place for terraces of cafés ans restaurants.

The sketch of the parking slots allows the set up of the weekly market between the single-stemmed trees. In the middle, the open place in front of the city hall translates on the ground the rhythms of the arcades throughout the design of the limestone paving.
