Llobregat 2040, Barcelona

The contest was about imagining the future of the existing unifunctional infrastructures to turn the suburbs of Barcelona towards the vision of a territory more resilient and inclusive, combining mobiliies, landscape and new centers.

On the zone #5 related to the right riverbank of the Llobregat, with infrastructures from the A2 and BV-2002, associated with the highway node of the 4 ways, the project considers the infrastructures with the geographical scale of valleys and drainages basins to go back to a consistency in the organisation of the territory. From the station of the 4 ways to the four parks, the proposition is based on a holistic approach to the challenges and transformation levers, always keeping in mind a vertuous vision of the territory, integrating spatial, economical, environmental or social dimensions.
